Why is swearing bad...?

Swearing makes the server look bad, as well there are younger players (between the ages of 5-9) that really shouldn't have to hear someone talking like a sailor. Think about it, if you had a kid and your friend came over and started swearing to china and back, then your kid repeated him, would you put up with it? It also makes the server look like all we have is a bunch of flamers, or bad mouthes. Swearing is just a word true, but if we let people swear then more emotion will also be put in the game (and i don't mean the good kind). Think about pvp, there's to much drama with that already, with cursing being okay that would double. One more thing to add, normally if one curses it makes HIM\HER look bad (if i saw someone outside, and all he did was curse every other word i wouldn't think highly of him).

If you want to curse at players start an argument under the argument sections with someone.

there is a time and a place for swearing and on killerzone i highly doubt it...

uhm, so your saying a 15 year old is stuck in the 60's? anyway when it is something small like saying (because it would make me a hypocrite to say the actual word) s word is a bit bendable, normally if it is a small cuss word or your not cussing someone out then you will just get a warning, or will be told to knock it off. If its mild like swearing AT someone you will normally get jailed/banned depending on how bad. If you swear AT a staff member or the owner its an automatic ban. Have you noticed no one here on the forums is banned for swearing and i only say "no cussing" that's because its something small and not worth punishing for. I may be stricked but i know what todays world is like. If you cannot live without cussing, say it don't type it.

ah, okay well in that case i will write another paragraph you people will probably only skim. Any who i think that if i heard people cussing in a public place i would try and avoid them if i did not know them. It really depends on how much their cussing, and what they are saying. If it is bad i would avoid them due to the fact they are probably trouble makers. If it was mild i would say "okay typical teenager" and move on with my life. If it is was light i would think "okay this person is probably just angry with something, or frustrated." and see if i could help. If he didn't cuss at all i would show respect for him and take him seriously. Honestly cussing is just like gossip if you think the way i am at the moment. with gossip, gossipers are looked down a pone, and typically not liked. People that cuss a lot or mildly are typically looked down a pone as well (unless being judged by their friends and or family). as someone said earlier (i think) there is a time and place for cussing, the key is to use it in an appropriate environment and in a appropriate amount.

as well i'd like to point out i've played rs since i was about 7 and i never thought it was hard.

I understand what your saying, and people now are starting to not care what people say. Maybe i am stuck in the 60's or 50's but i really think it's disrespectful to just cuss. i understand that it's imposable not to cuss at all, but a lot is unnecessary.
